Island County Deputies Support Big Brother Big Sisters with Hotdog Cash

OAK HARBOR - The Island County Sheriff’s Guild has donated $342.50 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County. The guild had raised the money from a hotdog sale during National Night Out in August. BBBS will use the money in their program work in Oak Harbor, Coupeville and on South Whidbey.

“The Island County Deputy Sheriff's Guild feels the link between law enforcement and youth is one that is very important,” Island County Sheriff Mark Brown said.

The deputy guild is a strong supporter of children’s organizations that encourage healthy and educational activities, said guild President Darren Crownover.
