Matching gift programs vary by employer, in terms of eligibility and the maximum amount matched. Some companies match donations made by employees, retirees, board members and/or spouses. Does your employer, your spouse’s employer, or the employer from whom you or your spouse have retired have a matching gift program? Gifts of donated goods, commodities, or services are also important to supporting our mission. Do you or your company have extra tickets to the zoo, aquarium, movies, sporting events, concerts, ballet, or other activities? In-kind gifts help the children in our program experience new things, but these donations may also serve as live or silent auction items at one of our special events. Please contact us directly. We love to have communications about donating large/heavy items prior to their arrival.  

Facebook fundraisers are an easy way to encourage your friends to support us  in honor of your birthday, anniversary or for no occasion at all. To create a fundraiser on Facebook follow these steps when in Facebook:

1. Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed
2. Click Raise Money
3. Select Nonprofit or Charity
4. Select Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County
5. Choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details
6. Click Create

Satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County! A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a centralized vehicle for charitable giving that makes it easy for donors to dedicate funds to support charitable organizations. It also provides an operationally convenient and tax-efficient method for donors to manage their charitable giving.
